Future Plans
Every Enterprise Farm customer helps us to achieve our goals: to increase sustainable practices on our farm, and to change the food distribution system to benefit small farms and the folks that depend on them for food.
The outline below is meant to provide a sense of how you -- our members -- help us achieve these goals.
200 farm share members...
-
Support the farm and regional economy by paying basic farm operating costs, and employing core staff, year-round.
-
Change the food distribution system by operating at a volume that allows us to source from multiple farms, increasing year-round variety available to all customers.
400 farm share members...
-
Change the food distribution system by working at a further increased volume, enabling us to source special large-volume items (i.e. avocados).
-
Empowers us to influence partner farms to grow certain crops that our customers want year-round, such as broccoli.
800 farm share members...
-
Support the farm and environment by generating the capital needed to “green” the farm, including solar energy and a greywater system.
-
Enable us to build winter crop storage, increasing the volume of winter squash and roots that are grown and offered locally, year-round.
-
Enable us to dedicate greenhouse infrastructure and labor to growing greens off-season, increasing the volume salad greens that are grown and offered locally, year-round.
1,000 farm share members...
-
Support the farm’s long term financial stability, enabling us to increase our land base and preserve additional farmland for the next generation.
-
Change the food distribution system by working at a volume that allows the farm to further determine how, when and where our produce is delivered, enabling us to supply even fresher produce.
